Everything you need to know about easyfundraising
easyfundraising turns the everyday online shopping from your family and friends into funds for your Macmillan Cancer Support Mighty Hike. When they use the easyfundraising website or app to shop with leading brands, the brands sends you a free donation at no additional cost.
There are over 7,500 brands available to shop with, including Amazon, eBay, Argos, John Lewis, Trainline, M&S, Waitrose, TUI, Etsy, M&S, and Compare the Market. It means that no matter what your committee or fundraising group are buying online, from travel and holidays to fashion, homewares, insurance, and groceries - they can earn you free donations.
Yes – you don’t need to be a charity to use easyfundraising.
To register with easyfundraising you will need to know:
- The location and year of your Mighty Hike - try to make this unique so that supporters know it's you
- The postcode - to help supporters when they search for good causes local to them
- A description - this should include who you are and what you are raising for, i.e Macmillan Mighty Hike 2023 Norfolk Coast Half
- Payment details – easyfundraising can pay your donations by cheque or straight into your setting bank account so have your details ready
There are also optional fields for:
- A logo or photo - making you unique and giving you an identity
You can come back to these optional fields later if you don't have the information to hand when you sign up
To get your fundraising off to the best possible start easyfundraising offers a completely free 1-2-1 session with one of our friendly fundraising specialist. It won't take long, and they will show you the best way to make easyfundraising work for your fundraiser with tailored tips, tools, a guided tour and even a bonus incentive.
Providing you have raised over £15, easyfundraising total up all the donations raised by everyone supporting your fundraiser every three months and send it to you by bank transfer or cheque. There is no charge for this. If you haven't raised over £15 in the previous three months, the amount simply rolls into the next payment instead.
