Why it’s so hard to choose the cause of the month…..

When we asked easyfundraisers to nominate their cause as our cause of the month for October, we were absolutely inundated with responses. It was so hard to pick a winner as every cause we read about seemed to be so deserving of the £150 prize.

World Animal Day – a day in the life of one animal charity

Today is World Animal Day and our guest blog comes from one of the many animal welfare causes that fundraise with easyfundraising. Equine Market Watch is dedicated to improving the welfare of horses and ponies in markets and auctions.  The charity is run entirely by unwaged volunteers and offers an equine sanctuary base in Herefordshire as well as foster homes.  Read More …

Howzat! Mildenhall Cricket Club is our website of the month

Mildenhall Cricket Club in Suffolk caters for all ages, from 7 to 70. They run six senior sides at the weekends, plus a midweek team and a Ladies team. We’ve awarded them the title of Website of the Month as we really liked the way they update their site each month to show our latest competition.

On camp with Solihull Jamboree Scouts

On Saturday I was invited to spend the day with the easyfundraising Cause of the Month, Solihull Jamboree Scout Unit, on camp in beautiful Shipston on Stour. I headed down there with our cameraman Geoff to make a video about what they do.

How easyfundraising cheques are making a difference

A couple of weeks ago we sent our causes cheques for the funds they raised in the second quarter of this year. The total amount sent out came to just shy of £200,000 – not at all bad for just three months of shopping and searching. We asked our causes on Facebook what they plan to use the money for, Read More …

You did what?!

Our latest results (£1.8 million raised for causes so far) show how passionate our members are about their causes.  This amazing amount has been raised by people shopping online and searching the web in the name of their good cause but it turns out they’ll also go a whole lot further to raise funds. Motivate your supporters – they won’t do it themselves!

Raising money can be tough. My friend recently told me how difficult she’d found it raising money for her daughter’s pre-school. They were desperate for new equipment for the children – the existing toys were looking pretty tired but as usual, there wasn’t any money in the budget to replace them.

Location, Location, Location

According to a new report from the Community Development Foundation, Norfolk people are the most generous in the UK when it comes to raising funds for local groups. So what do you think? Does location matter when it comes to fundraising? Will you raise more depending on where your cause is based? It’s an interesting question and I feel sure Read More …
