Do Christmas Differently this year by raising free cash for charity when you shop

A major shopping platform is urging customers to #DoChristmasDifferently this year
by raising cash for charity while they shop.

Christmas is now 100 days away and there has never been a better time to consider
stocking up ahead of the festive season.

With retailers and brands beginning to put their Christmas lines on sale, you can
grab a bargain in time for the big break.

But before you go ahead and buy, experts say you should check out the
easyfundraising website as the brands below are all on there and you could claim
free cash for your favourite charity or good cause.

Asda have a great selection of items for under £10 including a range of Monsters Inc
cups from £5 for the little ones to decorative items such as throws for as little as £6.
Perfumes and hair straighteners are also available for £10.

Sainsbury’s has been reminding customers that ‘it’s never too early’ to think about
Christmas ahead of the festivities. They have a range of chocolates on sale to satisfy
stomachs on the big day or to give out as gifts. A Terry’s Chocolate Orange can be
bought for £1.50 or a box of Ferrero Rocher can be purchased for £9.50.

Matalan has a range of festive wrapping paper from £6, festive bedding from £18
and decorative items with vary in price. There are also a range of gifts. Guinness
Truffles come in at £10 while 9 Mini Chocolate Guinness Pints come in at £5.

John Lewis has some good Christmas gift ideas, too. Their My First 24 Crayola
Jumbo Crayons are being sold for £6 and would make an ideal festive gift, while the

ideas for the little ones to teenagers to adults.

Bluey is also being sold for £60. For adults, a Cocktail Set is being sold for £32 while
the Sony Over-ear Headphones are available for £249.

Then, there are items available at Debenhams’s online store. Highland Cow Slippers
are available for £22, with an Only Fools and Horses Dressing Gown also being sold
for £39.50.

The retailer TKMaxx also has items ready for this year’s Christmas celebrations.

Scented Body Lotion from £12.99.

Each of these brands will donate a different amount to your charity or good cause if
you buy through the easyfundraising charity shopping platform. Smaller or
grassroots charities can particularly benefit from any shopping done via the
easyfundraising website or app.

James Moir, the CEO of easyfundraising, says: “Christmas may seem like a long
way off but there’s never been a better time to start planning for the celebrations.
“September starts the festive season off for many retailers and brands, and instead
of waiting for the rush closer to the day, you can already grab a great buy and have
everything sorted months ahead.

“But don’t forget before you buy to check out easyfundraising as the platform is
offering free cash to charities if you purchase using the website.

“That means, when budgets are restrained and the cost-of-living crisis continues,
any extra cash a good cause or charity gets will be vital. And I want to stress, it won’t
cost you a penny extra or add anything to your bill.”
