Congratulations to our winners of March’s Good Cause Giveaway!
Here at easyfundraising we love nothing more than making a big difference to our causes and charities. March’s £1000 Good Cause Giveaway, sponsored by our friends at Travelodge, saw six more causes become the proud winners of free donations, with the top prize winners receiving £500, thanks to their supporters entering our monthly Shop, Shop, Win competition.
To enter the competition, supporters simply had to make two online purchases from our 3,100 retailers throughout March to be in with a chance of winning. We spoke to two of our runners up who each received £100 in free donations to find out how the extra donations will be put to good use.
The UK P.E.O. Group is a part of P.E.O. International, a charitable organisation supporting and promoting education for women. P.E.O. makes a difference in the lives of women all over the world and in its 148 year history has benefited over 99,000 women to achieve their educational goals.
On winning the £100 donation, Kelly Knapp said, “We are absolutely thrilled to have won, and thank Travelodge for helping us to help women worldwide.
We have set ourselves the target of raising £5,000 to establish our scholarship and to date have raised £3,000. We have been struggling to reach our goal and this £100 (and easyfundraising) will aid us meet and exceed our goal.
Of the ease of using easyfundraising to raise money, Kelly said: “easyfundraising is truly easy. It allows us to contribute to our charity while going about our daily lives. It’s a simple and effective tool to aid causes near and dear to your heart. We would recommend easyfundraising to everyone!”
The To the Rescue Fundraisers do an incredible job raising money to help animals in need.
Clare Read said, “The donations we raise from easyfundraising are put in our emergency help fund and used for cases where animals/rescues need urgent help with paying for things like vet fees, neutering and keeping animals safe.
The extra £100 will be a great help so that we can continue to help animals/rescues in need.”
Southernhay United Reformed Church in Exeter are this month’s top prize winners, receiving an incredible £500 in free donations.
Our other runners up who all received £100 in donations were Barripper CC, a cricket club in Barripper in Cornwall, Wellow Primary School in Romsey and Highland Theological College in Dingwall in Scotland.
