Over £1M paid out to good causes and charities

As we come out of the pandemic, we wanted to share some great news…

…We paid out over £1 million pounds to good causes and charities in the last 3 months!

That means that your everyday online shopping has made a massive amount of difference to people’s lives all over the UK!

It’s also over 10% more than we did in the first 3 months of 2021! Thank you to you all! Your shopping really does help some wonderful causes.

Whisper it quietly too but it looks as if we are heading back to some sort of normality. The pandemic seems to be over (fingers crossed) and we are all beginning to book holidays and adventures again, we are back visiting friends and spending money on experiences. We are back spending money on our gardens and on home improvements and it all seems brighter and more optimistic. We are still drinking wine and ordering takeaways and now we have places to go and people to see, we are noticing retailers in our fashion and beauty markets reporting big increases in their sales, all good news!

There are of course some big pressures on people’s pockets at the moment, we have seen the average shopping basket increase over the last few months and inflation is beginning to pinch and everyone is having to tighten their belts, especially when energy prices and fuel costs are still rising. It’s certainly going to be tough for a lot of people.

It also seems as if the “cost-of-living” crisis isn’t going away anytime soon, but because of the way you shop using easyfundraising, it means that causes are still getting vital money that they need. Every time you do your normal shop, retailers are paying out to the causes that mean most to you, without it costing you a penny. It really is a win-win for everyone.

We have spoken to a lot of our causes recently, asking how they feel the cost-of-living crisis is going to affect them and they have told us of an impending “Cost of Giving” crisis with people being able to donate less to them as they have less money in their pockets. This is why the shopping that you do is so important to these charities and causes.

Keep an eye out over the next few weeks as we tell you how your money is making magic happen for causes across the UK.
