In 2003, easyfundraising founder Ian Woodroffe set up the site from his kitchen table to help raise money for charities that helped him after he was ill. Back then, he could’ve only dreamed that this amount would be reached. easyfundraising has now become the biggest charity fundraising shopping site in the UK and you’ve helped make this dream a reality!
Every donation makes a BIG difference to the causes you’re supporting. Here’s how some of the good causes have used the donations raised so far!
Schools, Nurseries and Pre-schools
You’ve raised an astounding £9.5 MILLION for schools, nurseries and pre-schools so far. Donations are often used for teaching resources which improve children’s education!
“One of my Teaching Assistants introduced me to easyfundraising, and I was particularly keen on the idea because it’s a way of raising money without costing parents anything extra. Donations build up over time – 3 years in and we have raised over £1,800! All fundraising is going towards a £10,000 project to replace old, outdated and broken Interactive Whiteboards around the school.”

Children’s Clubs and Groups
Altogether, just under £2.4 MILLION has been raised for children’s clubs and groups, including Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, The Boy’s Brigade, Sea Cadets and Air Cadets. Funds raised are generally put towards camps, craft supplies and other equipment.

Sports Clubs
Because of you, £4 MILLION has been raised for sports clubs to date using easyfundraising. Clubs tend to put these funds towards training facilities, sports equipment and match fees, helping to foster more active communities with easier access to exercise and sports.
We’re a small local club with around 100 members. We’ve raised almost £10200 in free funds using easyfundraising, which we are using to run and maintain our courts!

Animal Welfare
Animal welfare groups are popular causes to support – you’ve raised over £2 MILLION for animals in need. Common uses for these donations include shelter, food and veterinary care for sick and injured wildlife and homeless pets.
“Using easyfundraising is such an easy way to raise funds without any problems. All you have to do is register and shop online just as you usually would. The shops and sites you buy from will then give a donation to your organisation. RSPB Macclesfield have raised over £800 in this way, which finances nest boxes we put around the local area.”

Community Groups
You’ve helped to raise A LOT of donations for community groups – over £1.6 MILLION to be precise! Funds raised by community groups are used in a variety of ways, but all benefit local communities, making them a safer and nicer place to live.
We’ve raised over £4,300 using easyfundraising. Having such a simple and effective way of fundraising has been a big boost to our Centennial project to place a defibrillator in each of Stokes’ six towns.
