About Backlaxx
Backlaxx's products consist largely of renewable raw materials such as coconut fibre, cork, natural rubber or kapok fibre. When it comes to packaging, they also make sure to use sustainable alternatives to conventional cardboard boxes or plastic packaging. The majority of their products are packed in a biodegradable bag made of corn starch and are shipped in a cardboard box made of recycled material.
They have been supporting the organisation "The Honu Movement" since October 2021. This great charity project of Plastic Free Planet gGmbH has made it its mission to remove plastic waste from the oceans and to recycle it. The Honu Movement creates jobs in the heavily affected regions and educates local schools to prevent waste locally.
For every kilogram of packaging, - whether it's their cardboard boxes, - maize starch bags or - or the odd piece of plastic, which BACKLAxx® uses, they donate 74 ct to Plastic Free Planet gGmbH.
