Schools and PTA groups across the UK get huge £670,000 boost from generous donations on easyfundraising

Schools across the country have received a cash boost thanks to donations generated
through the charity cashback website, easyfundraising.

Since the start of this year over £670,000 has been donated to these groups across the UK,
as supporters of these causes shop through the easyfundraising platform, which generates a
donation to a good cause every time they do.

The leading giving platform easyfundraising partners with over 15,000 education and
childcare related organisations.

Earlier this year, the Friends of Reed’s School in Cobham, Surrey, reached an incredible
milestone of raising £10,000 for the school through easyfundraising.

Fiona Vigar, organiser of easyfundraising on the school’s Parent Teacher Association, says:
“The money raised through easyfundraising has gone towards some amazing things at
Reed’s.

“So far, the funds raised have helped buy rugby scrum machines, an electric piano, an
awning to shelter students, changes to the library and much more.

“We are delighted to see that the money raised through our site has had such an amazing
impact on the pupils at the Reed’s School, and we are excited to see how much more they
can raise!”

Since using the platform from 2015 The Friends of Reed’s School have 222 supporters that
are signed up and often use easyfundraising to donate cost-free when they’re shopping
online, with donations going towards the school as their chosen cause.

On average the giving platform has found that savvy shoppers are able to generate £13,874
of shopping donations each day, amounting in incredible donations going to their chosen
charities.

With last minute holiday bookings on everyone’s mind, it’s not a surprise that travel
purchases are some of the highest donators on the platform.

One of the largest single donations this year came from the Friends of Addingham Primary
School on Booking.com, with another high donation from St John Evangelist Catholic Primary
School Islington on TUI.

Jacqueline Harris supports Jewish Community Secondary School (JCoSS) and says: “People
think there must be a catch but there isn’t. JCoSS has been so grateful to receive money
from easyfundraising, but the school could do more if more people used it.

You can shop for many different things on the easyfundraising website which will pay the
school some vital money once you’ve made your order.

“It’s so important we get more people talking about easyfundraising as a shopping platform
so we can fund activities the kids will enjoy and learn from.”

Some of the top brands that have donated the most this year are Amazon, eBay, Argos,
Marks and Spencer, John Lewis & Partners and Etsy, with over 7500 to choose from.
It is easy and simple to donate cost-free to your favourite charities and causes through
easyfundraising. All it takes to get cash in your chosen charities’ pockets is for you to go to
